Quirky, traditional, thought provoking, or uncommonly portrayed all describe the works of art by artists
Jan Briggs and Eileen Manees.
Jan may use luscious oil or bright watercolor to portray scenes from the gardens. Then again you may see
unique woodland animals shaped in bas relief from assorted prepainted pieces of watercolor paper, a
process all her own.
It often requires a second look at Eileen’s art to discover the depths into which her messages in art pull
you. Common figures such as trees or people invite you into works with layers of texture, symbols, and a
myriad of beautiful colors.
Both artists harmoniously blend to entice you. These images are the type of art they will be displaying.
